A woman was brought to United Hospital having fallen from a 30ft height. She was barely breathing & her situation was extremely critical. She had sustained multiple fractures, and had brain and liver injuries.
She underwent extensive treatment – multiple surgeries for fractures, chest care, nutritional support and tracheotomy to help her breathe. It was a complex case which the staff at United Hospital handled very well – the injuries to most parts of her body being healed without complications.
Today, she is mobile with the aid of a wheelchair. This is no small feat considering the complexity of her case which the team handled very well.
